Write a clear product brief
List the intended use, target customer, destination market, material options, key dimensions and expected order quantity. Treat catalog ranges as discussion points until the actual specification is confirmed.
Agree on the sample
Define the drawing version, finish, functional checks and acceptance criteria. Confirm which components contact food and under what temperatures and contact times. Keep the approved sample and specification linked to the production order.
Review branding and packaging
Ask how the logo process affects the surface, durability and cleaning instructions. Packaging should protect the product and provide the labeling required for the destination market. Confirm whether custom packaging changes minimum quantities or lead time.
Match evidence to the exact product
Test reports and declarations must cover the actual material, formulation, finish and use. There is no blanket CE or FDA certification for every coffee accessory. Electrical products, batteries and cleaning chemicals need separate assessments.
Confirm the commercial details
Agree on quantities, sample costs, production timing, inspection arrangements, delivery terms and payment conditions in writing. Confirm tariff classification using the final product description and destination tariff schedule.
